The BFSG: accessibility for online shops in Germany
Since 28 June 2025, the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), Germany's transposition of the European Accessibility Act, requires many consumer-facing online services to be accessible. Here is who it covers, what it asks of a website or online shop, and how we get you there.
The Impressum: what a German business website must show
Almost every German business website has an Impressum, a page that says who runs it. Since 14 May 2024, the obligation is in section 5 of the Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz (DDG), which replaced the old Telemedia Act. Here is what it requires, and how we build it into your site.
